A good asphalt job starts long before the asphalt arrives. It starts with the right base — properly compacted, properly graded, properly drained. That’s why DLI handles asphalt as part of a fully prepared site, not as a standalone surface treatment. When you control the whole job, you control the whole result.
We install new driveways, commercial parking lots, and access roads. We resurface and overlay tired existing pavement. We patch, crack-fill, sealcoat, and stripe. For residential customers we typically install a 6-inch base of compacted gravel topped with 3 inches of asphalt in two lifts. For commercial work the spec is heavier and we adjust accordingly.
We work with established Long Island asphalt suppliers and run our own paving crews. Schedules are tight in summer — that’s when most asphalt work happens — so we book early and stick to the schedule.
For repairs and resurfacing, we’ll always tell you honestly whether a patch will hold or whether you really need a full replacement. We’d rather lose a small job than do work we know won’t last.
